Alice Bagge

Alice Bagge, 96, Askov, died on Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Pine Medical Health Care Center, Sandstone. She was born to Bernard and Minnie Nelson in Groningen, MN where she grew up and attended school. Alice later attended and graduated from Sandstone High School. On June 4, 1938, Alice married Rudolph Bagge in Groningen. Alice was a homemaker through the years and also farmed with her husband. She also worked at Ferndale Nursery for several years. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Eastside Sewing Club. Alice enjoyed embroidering and baking for everyone.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph on January 14, 2002; 5 brothers: John Nelson, Jewel Nelson, Willard Nelson, Robert Nelson, and George Nelson; 1 sister: Rosie Bush; and an infant great granddaughter.

Alice will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Barb (Don) McCuskey of Longville, MN; son: Jim (Bonnie) Bagge of Jacobson; 4 grandchildren: Jeff (Shannon) Bagge of Atlanta, GA; Jon (Erika) Bagge of Fall Creek, WI; Tim McCuskey of Longville; and Troy (Lori) McCuskey of Hotchkiss, CO; four great grandchildren: Ty, Katie, Dan, and Lisa; one great grandson: Linken; daughter-in-law: Joyce Bagge of Askov; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1 PM until the 2 PM Memorial Service on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Askov. Inurnment will be held in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Askov.
