Amanda Irene Wojtysiak, 71, of Kettle River, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born November 29, 1944 in Aitkin to Simon and Irene (Haapoja) Warpula. Amanda was united in marriage to John Wojtysiak on May 14, 1966 in Moose Lake. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid bingo player with her friend, Anna Kulas. Amanda worked at General Andrews Nursery for many years.

Amanda is preceded in death by her father, Simon Warpula; mother and step-father, Irene and Larry Elo; sister, Helmi Maki; brothers, Sulo and Larry Warpula; brothers-in-law, Joe and Robert Wojtysiak.

Amanda is survived by her loving husband, John Wojtysiak of Kettle River; children, Gwen Bandel of Moose Lake, John (Tina McCollum) Wojtysiak of Long Island, KS and Lisa (Tim) Jurek of Wrenshall; grandchildren, Brandi Bandel, Hannah, Heidi, Helen and Alex Jurek; 2 brothers, Alvin (Carol) Warpula of Babbitt and Earl (Joyce) Warpula of Atkinson; sisters-in-law, Mary Sturgeleski of Moose Lake, Josie (Henry) Jurek of Barnum, Dorothy Mullinix of Moose Lake and Bernie (Bruce Swag) Howden of Carlton.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, December 21, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
