Anne Kathleen
Pedersen-Johnson
September 15, 1947 – July 14, 2021
Anne Kathleen Pedersen-Johnson, 73, resident of Sturgeon Lake, died unexpectedly, yet surrounded by family, on Wednesday, July 14 th , 2021 in Essentia-Health Moose Lake. She was born in Saint Paul, MN on September 15 th , 1947 to Albert and Dorothy Pedersen.
Anne began her career in healthcare at the young age of 18, working in the mental health unit at the Moose Lake State Hospital. She had a deep passion for helping others, so deep that she devoted her life to being an EMT and then Paramedic in the area. She continued her career in medicine working as a Mental Health Program Director in adult foster care. Upon retirement, Anne spent much of her time watching birds, planting gardens, and tending to her flower beds. Her family would describe Anne as selfless, loving, supportive, and understanding. She always put others before herself and took care of the people she loved most. Anne enjoyed cooking for her family, always ensuring everybody was full. She spent a lot of time fishing over the years, too. Anne was her kids' and grandchildrens' biggest fan, especially at their sporting events: she never missed a game. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals and was proud of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Pedersen; and brother, Albert "Butch" Pedersen.
Anne will be deeply missed by her family. Those who survive her are her son, Denis (Iroquois) Johnson; daughters, Julieanne Ridgway and Jennie (Steve) Brinson; grandchildren, Arianne (Darryl) Stinson, Jaylen London, Leonard Ridgway III, Athena Ridgway, Marcus London, Kylie Pfeffer, Dominik London, Katrina Pfeffer, Peyton Johnson, and Kai John Johnson; great-grandchildren, Mylah London, Myles Stinson, and Jaylen London, Jr.; special companions, Butter, Annie, Frost, Boomer, Bella, Rico, Bodhi, Kiya, Pandora, and Kimba; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
