Ardella H. Pingeon, 90, resident of Moose Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center. She was born on November 16 th , 1930 on a farm near Lewisville, MN to Carl and Minna (Klatt) Arndt.

Ardella was baptized in the Fieldon Lutheran Church in Lewisville on December 7 th , 1930. She attended elementary school in rural Blue Earth County, MN and high school in both Mapleton and Winnebago, MN – graduating in May of 1948 from Winnebago. Ardella was united in marriage to Fredrick Lewis on February 14 th , 1949 in Winnebago and lived there until 1952 when they moved to the Barnum/Moose Lake area. Together they farmed and Freddie worked at the State Hospital. Ardella worked at Art's Café, the Red Owl Grocery Store, and as a bookkeeper for Roos Motors in Moose Lake. She also worked in the office at the Moose Lake Coop and as an insurance clerk for Mercy Hospital until 1986. Freddie died on November 26 th , 1984.

On August 30 th , 1986, Ardella was united in marriage to George Pingeon of Seattle, WA. She moved to Seattle shortly after where they spent 11.5 happy years fishing and camping with friends and family. George died on February 19 th , 1998. Ardella moved back to Moose Lake in March of 1999. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church of Moose Lake, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Sea Tac, WA, the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, and Homemakers of Carlton County. Ardella enjoyed volunteering in the gift shop at Mercy Hospital until the fall of 2010 when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. She also loved gardening, fishing, and doing crossword puzzles. Ardella loved her family and always kept them in her prayers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Fredrick Lewis and George Pingeon; sisters, Delilah Pingeon, Alma Nordman, and Betty Norman; and brother, Waldo Arndt.

Ardella will be deeply missed by her daughters, Yvonne (Byron) Korhonen, Vicki (Chris) Nielsen, and Lori Lewis; son, Gary (Cheryl) Lewis; step-daughter, Dianna (Jim) Ingle; step-son, Dennis (Jan) Pingeon; 11 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Friday, December 11 th , 2020 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Please follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering during both the visitation and funeral service.
