Art Forse

Art Forse, 66, Moose Lake, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Oakview Assisted Living, Moose Lake. He was born on February 9, 1948 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Harold and Florence Forse. Art grew up on the family farm and attended Moose Lake High School graduating in 1966. He worked for Moose Lake Co-op as the Fertilizer Plant Manager while he farmed. On June 27, 1970, Art married Nancy Ohlin in Moose Lake. Art continued to farm and also owned and operated Art's Barn Shop. He also sponsored the Art's Barn Shop Bowling Team for several years. He began driving school bus for Moose Lake School and later became the Transportation Supervisor and Mechanic for Moose Lake School. Art was a member of the Moose Lake Historical Society and had been very active in the Moose Lake Areas Jaycees. He loved visiting with people. Art always had a smile on his face and and had a great sense of humor.

Art was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Florence Forse.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years: Nancy; brother: Roger (Carol) Forse of Moose Lake; sister: Judy (Tom) Schander of Coon Rapids; Nieces and Nephews: Kelly (Brian) Roden; Lynn (Keith) Courington; Lori (Tom) Broeckert; Amy (Jon) Watson; Jerry (Sonya) Schander, Britta (Joe) Parpala; Eugene Hall; and Austin Hall; several great nieces and great nephews; two brother-in-laws: Clayton Ohlin and Graydon Ohlin both of Moose Lake; two sister-in-laws: Grace (Dave) Hall of Cloquet and Gail Hunt of St. Paul; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2-5 PM Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue from 1PM until the 2 PM service on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Moose Lake United Methodist Church. Rev. Rick Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Twp.
