Arthur George Greske, 61, of Moose Lake, died November 20, 2008 in Gracepoint Crossing West Care Center, Cambridge. He was born April 12, 1947 in Split Rock Township to George and Stella (Poslusny) Greske. Arthur is an Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Arthur was employed with Stretar Masonry since 1971, retiring in April of 2007. He is a member of the Sturgeon Lake-Denham Legion Post #361 and a former member of Moose Lodge #479 of Moose Lake as well as the 49ers. Arthur was an avid deer hunter, loved horses, John Deere tractors, and was a Moose Lake/Willow River and Cromwell football fan. Arthur especially enjoyed helping people.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Celia Tomczak and Dolores Greske; 2 nephews, Butch and Mark.
Arthur is survived by his significant other, Linda Fetters of Moose Lake; 2 sons, Michael (Alice) Greske of Prescott, WI and David (Judy) Greske of Duluth; former wife, Cyndy Greske of Superior, WI; 5 grandchildren, Autumn, Chelsea, Jason, Tyler and Kelsey; 2 sisters, Betty (Roger) Starkey of Jamestown, ND and Emelia (Zenon) Bednarek of Cloquet; brother-in-law, Ted Tomczak of Kettle River; his dog, Suka; many nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25, from 5-7 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continued Wednesday, November 26, from 10 until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Split Rock Township.
