Obituary

Austin Michael Winter, 23, formerly of Barnum, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019, after a bravely fought battle with addiction.  He was born on October 15, 1995 to Scott Winter and Tina Joseph.  Austin attended Barnum High School.  Austin never wanted to be defined by his mistakes, he was much more than that.  Austin was an intelligent, caring, compassionate young man.  He had a beautiful heart and believed the best in everyone.  He had a passion for all things outdoors including camping, fishing, snowmobiling, dirt biking, four wheeling, and fishing.  He had a great love for music and pets.  Austin wanted to live.  He had dreams of a future which included Alexandria Technical College and a future career of welding.  Austin had a great heart with a bright future and is a gift that is lost to the world and can never be replaced.

Austin is survived by his parents: Tina Joseph (Travis Revier) and Scott (Karen) Winter; his brother: Kane Revier; his sister: Chloe Revier; and special fur baby, Niah.  Grandmother: Debbie Joseph, Aunt: Amanda Joseph; Uncle: John Joseph; Uncle: Mike Winter; Cousins: Willy Winter; Makayla Nelson, Makenna Nelson; Sydney Joseph, JT Joseph; Godmother: Aileen "Punky" Line; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his campground family at Bent Trout Lake Campground, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by Grandparents: Larry Joseph, William and Karen Winter; Great Grandparents: Tillie Price, Norma Howard, Ernest and Katherine Winter, and Jon Osterud.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday, August 16, 2019 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  Please bring your memories and stories to share with family and friends.  Visitation will continue from 9 am until the 10 am Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 17, 2019 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Finlayson.
