Barb Cisar
Barb Cisar, 63, Willow River, died peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in United Hospital, St. Paul with her family by her side following complications from a stroke.
She was born on July 15, 1952 in Sandstone to Jack and Ellen Larson. Barb grew up in Sandstone where she attended school. On July 24, 1976, Barb married Ken Cisar in Faith Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Lake. They farmed through the years and Barb worked at General Andrews Nursery, Moose Lake State Hospital, Sandstone Nursing Home, and Black Bear Casino. She was currently employed at Grand Casino Hinckley and Kettle River Pizza. Barb loved gardening, hunting, fishing, knitting and crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, and her farm and animals, especially her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ellen Larson and two brothers: Bill Larson and Richard Larson.
Barb will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 39 years, Ken; children: Tammy (Monte) Jarvis of Sturgeon Lake; Scott (Wendy) Cisar of Moose Lake; and Mike (Jennifer) Cisar of Cloquet; Grandchildren: Denelle (Chris) Tessmer, Seth Jarvis, Joey Cisar, Liam Cisar, and Coredelia Cisar; family at heart: Kyla Betsinger and her children: Allison and Nathan Keyport; and Kyla's mother: Sharon Betsinger; siblings: Fred (Kris) Larson of Sandstone, Jackie Miller of Rockaway Beach, OR; Gary (Dori) Larson of Orange Park, FL; James Larson of Oklahoma; Terry Larson of Alaska; Lucinda Hovrud (Jean Free) of Coon Rapids; Rodney (JoLynne) Larson of Elk River; and Kyle (Tabitha) Larson of Bentonville, AK; sister-in-law: Karen Larson of Dassel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 10 am until the 11 AM Memorial Service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Willow River.
