Barbara Ann Abrahamson, age 61, resident of Rutledge, passed away on Tuesday, February 11 ^th , 2020 in Essentia Health – Sandstone. She was born on October 26 ^th , 1958 in Minneapolis to Joseph and Janet (Mecl) Jirovec.

Barb graduated from Irondale High School in 1976 and then received training in banking and finance from 916 Vo Tech School. Soon after, she met and married Garry Abrahamson at the Lutheran Church in Rutledge on June 16 ^th , 1979. They spent many years together living, loving, laughing, and raising their two children, Mathew and Jennifer. Barb had the most bubbly personality; she loved to laugh and make others laugh, too. She was a frequent flyer at local garage and estate sales, accumulating all sorts of treasures over the years. If she wasn't at the casino or gardening, you could find her riding around town with Garry, enjoying all the simple things in life. More than anything, Barb loved spending time with her grandkids, especially taking them to Dairy Queen, and having her whole family close together for the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Janet Jirovec.

Barb will be dearly missed by her husband of 40 years, Garry; son, Matt (Tasha) Abrahamson; daughter, Jenny (Travis) Chilton; brother, Joe (Dee Dee) Jirovec; sister, Linda Jirovec (Lyle); grandchildren, Michael, Brooklyn, and Payton Chilton and Aiden Nolan and Alaya Murner; nieces and nephews, Pete, Renee, Lisa, Chad, Dawn, and Hannah; and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation to honor Barb's life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 21 ^st , 2020 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Memorial service will begin at 12:00pm. Coral Popowitz will be the Celebrant.
