Barbara R. Bol
Barbara R. Bol, 80, Duluth, formerly of Moose Lake, was called Home by her Savior on Friday, February 13, 2009. She was born on March 23, 1928 to Lawrence & Dorothy Mahler in Mishawaka, Indiana. Barbara graduated from high school in South Bend, IN. She lived on the Iron Range until moving to Moose Lake in 1974. Barbara worked at the Moose Lake Regional Treatment Center for over 17 years retiring in 1992. She was proud to possess 46 years of sobriety through the fellowship and philosophy of AA. Barbara was a faithful member of Jesus Center Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Dorothy Mahler; a daughter: Gwendolyn in 1952; and sisters: Gwendolyn Barrows, Phyllis Foster, and Mary Jones.
Barbara will be lovingly missed by her children: Skip Bol; Mike (Lynn) Bol; Larry (Laure) Bol all of the Iron Range; and Rebecca (Greg) Hansen and Rachael (Gordy) Nyenhuis both of Duluth; 8 granddaughters: Brittany, Nikki, Heather, Lisa, Ashley, Megan, Kayla, and Lauren; 4 great grandsons: Ethan, Payton, Evan, and Ian; her brother, Carl Mahler of Peoria, AZ; and her "sister": Betty Lewis of Mishawaka, IN.

A Memorial Visitation was held from 4-6 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue from noon until the 1 PM Celebration Service on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the funeral home. Pastor Hal Kamppi did officiate. Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army or the Union Gospel Mission.
