Barbara Ann Carlson, 87, lifelong resident of Moose Lake, was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, October 12 ^th , 2020. She was born on October 29 ^th , 1932 in Moose Lake to Carl and Helga (Lampi) Peterson.

Barb graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1950. Shortly after, on September 15 ^th , 1951, she married Roger Carlson on the family farm. She was a homemaker while raising their children before working her way up to Dietary Supervisor at Mercy Hospital. Through the years, Barb devoted countless hours to Moose Lake Covenant Church by advocating for youth to attend Bible Camp, women's retreats, funeral lunches, playing the organ, and serving on the board of Covenant Women. She coached the grade school softball team, the Moose Lake Sweetie Pies, and enjoyed riding her bike with friends. Barb will be remembered as loving, giving, tough, patient, and above all else a prayer warrior whom was passionate about her faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Allen Peterson.

Barb will be deeply missed by her husband of 69 years, Roger; sons, Mark (Lucia), Ronald (Christine), and Philip (Shirley); daughter, Nancy (Kurt) Northfelt; sister, Dorothy (Clint) Pearson; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives, friends, and church family members.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 16 ^th , 2020 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home from 3:00pm – 7:00pm, with Barb's family being present only from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Social distancing and mask wearing will be required during the indoor visitation. A private family funeral will be held on Saturday, October 17 ^th , 2020 in the Moose Lake Covenant Church. Interment will then take place in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake.
