Bernadette Eulalie Mikrot, 88, of Sturgeon Lake, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at home with her family by her side.  She was born October 21, 1928 in Hugo to Mesael Joseph and Julia Eva (Brisson) Miron.  Bernadette graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1946.  After high school, she worked at Montgomery Wards in St. Paul for a number of years. Bernadette was united in marriage to Florian Mikrot on November 8, 1947 in Hugo.  Bernadette farmed her entire life on the family farm and took great pride in raising her kids and taking care of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, praying, gardening and especially, fun times with her family.  Bernadette was also a Sunday School Teacher at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake.

Bernadette is preceded in death by 2 sons, Raymond and Anthony; granddaughter, Amie; 4 brothers, Clifford, Thomas, Gil and Marcel; 1 sister, Martha Peltier; son-in-law, Lynn Kiminski.

Bernadette is survived by 5 sons, Tom (Pat) Mikrot of Kettle River, Phil Mikrot of Kettle River, Jim "Mouse" Mikrot of Sturgeon Lake, Bernard (James Martinez) Mikrot of Sturgeon Lake and Florian "Putski" (Lisa) Mikrot, Jr. of Kettle River; 2 daughters, Elaine Kiminski of Willow River and Karen (Jim) Mikrot of Sturgeon Lake; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Daniel Miron of Stacy; 2 sisters, Mabel (Adam) Mikrot of North St. Paul and Sr. Vivian Miron of Crookston; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, from 5 to 7 PM with a Rosary Service at 7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Friday, March 10, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake.  Interment will be in St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery, Sturgeon Lake.
