Obituary

Bernice M. Bumann, 86, formerly of Barnum, died at her home surrounded with her family and friends on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.  Bernice was born in Blackhoof Twp., Carlton County on August 11, 1932 to George and Hildegarde Paulson.  She graduated from Barnum High School in 1950.  Bernice married Roy Bumann on November 24, 1950.  Together, they raised six children, farmed, owned businesses, and traveled extensively.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; two sons: Michael and Daryl; two grandchildren: Amy Alexander and Adam Bumann; and her siblings and their spouses: Edna and Gunard Johnson; Eleanor and Joe Burk; and Sonny and Joyce Paulson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Ralph (Kathy) Bumann of Hinckley; Ronald (Susan) Bumann of Barnum; Douglas (Tracey) Bumann of Hanover; and Sharyn (Mike) North of Maple Grove; and her dear grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff, volunteers, and visitors at Augustana Health Care Center, Moose Lake.  Their loving friendship and care were cherished by Bernice.

Visitation will be from 2 pm until the 3pm funeral service on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Salem Lutheran Church, Mahtowa.  Burial will follow in Sandy Lake Cemetery, Blackhoof Twp.
