Colton
March 12, 1940 – March 13, 2026
Beverly Jean "Bev" Colton (née Storebo), a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Duluth, Minnesota, at the age of 86. Born on March 12, 1940, in Sandstone, Minnesota, Bev lived a life filled with love, faith, and service to others.
Bev was the cherished daughter of Adolph and Eva July Storebo. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values instilled in her by her parents throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle LeRoy Colton, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage.
She is survived by her loving children: Venessa Tencer (Greg), Michelle Broker, Diane Seefeldt, and Dale Colton. Bev was also a proud grandmother to many grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Her siblings Millie Storebo (Mitch Wybierala) and Edward Storebo (Melinda) survive her as well, along with numerous nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by her parents Adolph and Eva Storebo. She will be remembered fondly by many extended family members and friends.
Bev had a deep passion for flowers and baking, which she shared generously with those around her. Her love for baking became a hallmark of her connection to the community. During her years working at the Bruno Post Office, she made it a tradition to bake treats and serve coffee during holidays for everyone who visited. Her kindness extended beyond the post office walls; she would bake and personally deliver holiday treats to community members and delivery workers alike-a testament to her selfless spirit.
A devout Catholic, Bev found great comfort and purpose in her faith. She loved attending church services, praying the rosary, and volunteering within her parish community. Her dedication to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life as she sought to live out its teachings through acts of kindness and generosity.
Bev's legacy is one of love, devotion, and service-a life well-lived that touched countless hearts. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
