Beverly Holt

Beverly Holt, 85, Moose Lake, died Monday, February 17, 2014 in Oakview Assisted Living, Moose Lake. She was born on September 12, 1928 in Ashton, South Dakota to Lester and Hyacinth Miller. Beverly grew up and attended school in Ashton where she helped her parents farm. On June 29, 1947, Beverly married Warren Holt in Redfield, South Dakota. They lived in Cresbard, SD for 6 years and in 1953 moved to McGregor and later Henning areas where she was a homemaker and helped her husband, Warren farm mink. In 1968, Beverly and Warren moved to St. Cloud and later to Moose Lake where Beverly worked as a Human Services Technician at the Moose Lake State Hospital. She was a self-taught knitter whom loved knitting clothes and creations for her family and friends. Beverly was a member of the Moose Lake United Methodist Church.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren in 2001; sister: Florence; and two brothers: Raymond and Lyle.

Beverly will be remembered by her 5 sons: Mike (Mavis) of Phillepi, West Virginia; Jeff (Tammie) of Lexington, VA; George (Becky) of Kettle River; Steve of St. Cloud; and Brad (Kerri) of Brook Park; 3 sisters: Carol, Darlys, and Linda; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 AM service on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Moose Lake United Methodist Church. Reverend Richard E. Edwards will officiate. John Sundin will be the organists. Casket Bearers will be Danny Holt, Dylan Holt, Garrett Holt, Mark Faber, Joey Prachar, and Doug Collier.

Spring Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
