Beverly M. Paulson, 80, Moose Lake, MN died peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN and was reunited with the love of her life, Russell "Bud" Paulson, whom died on January 9, 2018.
Beverly was born on June 20, 1937, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Richard and Myrtle Sypher. She grew up in Colorado and graduated from Lewis - Palmer High School in Monument, CO. Beverly attended Blair Business College in Colorado Springs, CO and received an accounting degree. On August 26, 1956, Beverly married Bud in Palmer Lake, CO. They moved to Minnesota where they lived in Barnum Twp. and dairy farmed for over 20 years. In 1964, they opened H & R Block in Moose Lake, MN, which they owned and operated for over 30 years. Beverly was proud of her relationships that were developed as a tax preparer for 45 years. Beverly was the manager of the Carlton County Fair for 15 years and was directly involved in several building and improvement projects as well as increasing the fair attendance by almost 100%. She was a member of the Barnum American Legion Auxiliary Post #415 and the Moose Lake Historical Society. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church serving on Call committees, head of the Memorial committee and member of the Priscilla Circle. Beverly enjoyed flower gardening and quilting. She shared her quilts with her family and had created a special quilt for each grandchild for their high school graduation. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend, Bud, and spending many months playing games and attending shows with their Branson friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, and her parents, Richard and Myrtle Sypher.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three children Richard "Rusty" (Barbara) Paulson of Owatonna, MN, Robin (Thomas) Quigley of Menominee, MI and Randy (Janelle) Paulson of Chatfield, MN; nine grandchildren Joshua (Susan) Quigley, Eric (Addey) Quigley, Patrick (Ashley) Quigley, Brian (Jane) Paulson, Neil Paulson, Brenna Quigley, Jana (Brian) Walters, Alexander (Kayla) Paulson and Aaron Paulson; seven great grandchildren Joseph Quigley, Marlow Quigley, Eileen Quigley, Desmond Quigley, Anaia Paulson, Violet Quigley, and Ada Paulson along with a soon to be expected great grandchild; a great-great grandchild Elliot Quigley; a sister Barbara (Verlyn) Stum of Colorado Springs, CO; Aunt and life-time friend Helen (Don) Guthrie of Salem, AR; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as their Branson, MO friends whom have been such an important part of her life through the years.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake, MN and continue Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1 PM until the 2 PM service at Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake, MN. Cremation will follow the services with an inurnment service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN, for both Bud and Beverly, at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to Hope Lutheran Church Building Fund or Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
