Bob Nowak, Sr., 89, Moose Lake, died Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in Moose Lake Village. He was born on January 11, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI to Roman and Ruth Nowak. Bob grew up in Webster, WI where he attended school. On August 9, 1954, Bob married Faye Johnson in Norwood, IA. They lived in Buffalo and Bob attended Dunwoody. He worked for many years at Buffalo Veneer and Plywood until retiring at the age of 62. They moved to Duquette where they lived until Faye's death and then Bob moved to Moose Lake. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Moose Lake. Bob carved birds out of wood and also volunteered at the nursing home in Moose Lake for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye in 2013; two sons: John and Mark; parents: Roman and Ruth Nowak; sister: Diane Bistrom; sister-in-law: Violet Clinton; brothers-in-law: Glenn Johnson and Oscar Johnson.
Bob will be remembered by his children: Bob (Mary) Nowak, Jr.; Michael Nowak; Susan Nash; Tom (Sharecia) Nowak; and Steve (Karen) Nowak; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister: Ruth (Russell) Peterson; sisters-in-law: Dee Johnson and Ann Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 10, 2025 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
