Captain Joseph B. Berube, 57, of Moose Lake, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Augustana Mercy Health Care, Moose Lake. He was born August 26, 1955 in St. Paul to Burnell and Jacquelyn (Skiby) Berube. Joseph was very proud of his time as a Surgical Nurse in the Army. He was called to active duty three times, serving in Panama, Desert Storm and Afghanistan. Joseph loved golfing and hunting and was very competitive in sports. Joseph especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Joseph is preceded in death by his mother, Jacquelyn; sister, Lynn Stanchfield; stepmother, Tonetta.

A loving father and grandfather, Joseph is survived by his daughter. Katie Berube and grandson, Liam; father, Burnell Berube and his stepmother, Marlene Pangerl Berube; 3 sisters, Susan (Robert) Phillips, Mary Kroll and Debra (Mark) Berube; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, December 15, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Somerset, WI. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
