Carol J. Skoglund, 88, Barnum, died peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Augustana Health Care Center, Moose Lake.  She was born in Moose Lake on June 29, 1930 to Alvin and Mabel Anderson.  Carol attended school in Moose Lake and later Barnum where she graduated.  On April 23, 1949, Carol married Jalmer "Dick" Skoglund in Barnum.  They lived east of Barnum where they hobby farmed, and Carol was a homemaker through the years.  She liked collecting dolls, coins, and crystal.  Carol loved to cook, bake, and work on her family genealogy.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Jalmer "Dick" Skoglund in 1999; daughter: Susan Matlock; and five siblings: Kenneth Anderson, Corrine Anderson, Bill Anderson, Jim Anderson, and Gerald Anderson.

She will be lovingly remembered by three sons: Bob of Barnum; William (Wendy) of Duluth; and Wayne (Cindy) of Barnum; seven grandchildren: Robert Skoglund, Jr., Julie Schrom, Melissa Berg, Nicole Skoglund, Denise Matuseski, Richard Skoglund, and Brenda Price; 6 great grandchildren: Evelyn, Gemma, Jaden, Abby, Robert, and Alex; two sisters: Betty (Bill) Lundgren of Duluth and Judy Lyndon of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
