Carolyn Wilske

Carolyn Wilske, age 67 of Sturgeon Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Carolyn was born on June 9, 1946 in St. Paul, MN. Carolyn grew up in Roseville where she attended Alexander Ramsey High School. She later attended the University of Minnesota and St. Cloud State University. On July 20, 1968, Carolyn married Doug Wilske in Roseville and they made their home in Hugo. Carolyn was the co-owner and operator of Designer's 5 Hair Salon in Willernie, MN for many years. In 1999, Carolyn and Doug moved to Sturgeon Lake. Carolyn worked at the Hair Affair and also owned and operated Moose Lake Mini Storage with her husband, Doug. Carolyn volunteered many hours at Liberalis in Carlton where she offered hope and encouragement to the women in the program through her well prepared speeches. Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed painting in her free time. She was very dedicated to her family and truly loved her husband, sons, and especially her grandson, Jack whom she treasured dearly.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her father: John Roddy; and brother: Michael Roddy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Doug; two sons: Patrick and David; her grandson: Jack; close family friend, Jon Badtke and many other family members and friends.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from Noon until 3 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. A Time of Sharing will begin at 2:30 PM.

Memorials will be given to Carolyn's favorite charities in her memory.
