Obituary

Cheryl Marie Davis (Booton), age 80, passed away peacefully on November 15,
2025, at the Moose Lake Village, in Moose Lake MN.
Cheryl was born on February 16, 1945, in Hennepin, MN to Dorthy and Earl Booten.
She grew up in the small town of Prairie Farm, WI before her family moved to Barron WI,
where she graduated from high school in 1964.
Cheryl's first job was working as a carhop at the A&W Drive Inn. She loved sharing
stories of bringing food to cars on roller skates, using a "car-hop" change dispenser to
make change and enjoying an end of summer free root beer. Cheryl then started working
for 3M factory after high school.
It was during this time she met her future husband, Charles Davis, at the "Best Place
by a Dam Site". On September 28,1968, Charles and Cheryl were married in South Dakota.
They moved to Hastings MN to start a family, where they welcomed a daughter and son,
along with four stepsons whom she loved as her own. The family lived in Florida for a few
years before making Moose Lake, MN their home. This September Charles and Cheryl
celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Cheryl worked at Art's Café in Moose Lake for over 20 years as a morning cook. She
also spent time working at the Kettle River School as a teacher's aide. She later worked at
the Augustana Care Center until her retirement.
Cheryl loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and
sharing her beautiful creations, cooking, watching sunrises, enjoying hummingbirds, and
recently learned how to do diamond art. Her caring nature shone through every aspect of
her life. She loved her family deeply, including her son with special needs, whom she cared
for with unwavering devotion. She was kind and gentle, strong and funny, accepting of
everyone and always there to listen. Cheryl was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, whose big heart, kindness,
strength, and lightheartedness brightened the lives of everyone around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Dorothy and Earl Booten, sister: Darlene Toroni and
stepson: Theordore Wagner.

Cheryl will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles Davis; daughter: Lisa (Troy) Radzak; grandchildren: Max and Maddie Radzak; son: Paul John Davis; son: Charles III (Kathy) Davis; grandchildren: Charles IV, Paul (Jessica) and their children Jeremy, Elizabeth, and Joey, and Angela Davis; son: James (Pat) Wagner, and David (Laura) Wagner and their children Levi and Asher; sister: Joi Herrman; and brother: Ronald Booten.
