Obituary

Chester A. Anderson of Moose Lake, died Monday, January 3, 2011 in Augustana Mercy Care Center, Moose Lake. He was born December 16, 1925 in Mahtowa to August and Mabel (Fredeen) Anderson. Chester was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving in both Japan and Korea. He retired from the Army in 1968 after 22 years of service. Chester was united in marriage to Elaine Blaha on January 14, 1947 in Moose Lake. Chester was employed with Jeno Paulucci Foods of Duluth and Michigan from 1968-1989. He was a highly skilled woodworker and gourmet chef. Chester was an avid fisherman and loved travelling to Alaska.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Paul; 1 sister, Frances Gustafson.

Chester is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elaine of Moose Lake; 1 daughter, Sharon (Paul) Burrell of New Brighton; 1 son, Alan Anderson of Nikiski, AK; 1 brother, Curtis (Marion) Anderson of Hastings; several nieces and nephews.
