Clarence E. Anderson, 76, Moose Lake, passed away on February 18, 2011 in Harlingen, TX.
Clarence was born to Eskel and Hilma Anderson on January 9, 1935 in Denham, MN. He graduated from Willow River High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. He married Winifred (Wink) Johnson on February 11, 1956. They moved to Renton, WA where Clarence worked for Boeing Airlines. They moved back to Moose Lake, MN in 1970 where they made their home. Clarence worked for Gordy's Arrowhead Music and Twin Ports Amusement until his retirement. After Winifred's passing in 2003, Clarence spent his remaining years with Carol Daoust, Moose Lake. They enjoyed traveling together and wintering in Harlingen, Texas. Clarence had a great love of reading and could always be found with a book in his hand. He loved to share dinners out with his friends and especially enjoyed his coffee time at Art's Cafe in Moose Lake.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Winifred; grandson Alex Anderson; and three brothers and two sisters.
Clarence is survived by his three children: Danial (Stephanie) Anderson of Duluth, Gary (Lori) Anderson of Kettle River, and Shari Anderson of Moose Lake; three grandchildren: Teri (Eric) Timonen of Moose Lake and Tyler and Taylor Anderson of Kettle River; two great-grandchildren: Sydney and Noah Timonen of Moose Lake, special friend Carol Daoust of Moose Lake, her children and their families: Kevin (Heidi) Daoust, Roger (Dawn) Daoust, Kim (Steve) Granmo, Diane McEntee, Mike (Lisa) Daoust and Ed (Shelly) Daoust, sister Betty (Walt) Norbeck of Richland, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Harlingen, Texas.
A gathering of friends and family took place at Hamlin Hansen Kosloski Funeral Home in Moose Lake on Saturday, February 26th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. There was no formal service, but a time to come and share memories of Clarence with his family and friends. A private inurnment will be held in the spring in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
