Curtis "Curt" D. Wilson, Jr., 78, of Moose Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2025 surrounded by his family and friends following a battle with cancer.
Curt was born on October 10, 1946, in Moose Lake to Curtis and Vivian Wilson. On October 10, 1975 Curt married Cindy Wallin. During their 49 years of marriage, they had many adventures living in Minnesota, Alaska, Arizona and Texas.
Curt was a jack of all trades. If it was broke, he could fix it. He was friend to all with his home open to anyone who needed a meal. He held several different jobs from mechanic, auto body man, heavy equipment operator, over the road truck driver, and owner of an auto repair shop and feed store in Sturgeon Lake.
Curt's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren always knew they could find a meal, fresh bread, or cookies ready for them. He enjoyed traveling in his RV. Cindy and Curt spent several years traveling the country making life-long friends wherever they went. Curt lived his life as an honest, selfless man who lived to serve others and loved the Lord.
Curtis is preceded in death by his daughter, Cassie Lea; sisters, Diane Smith and Christine Burk; and his parents, Curtis and Vivian Wilson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy, and his children, Curtis (Tammy), Chad (Keri), Channon (Kelly), Christopher, Carolyn (Chris), Charles (Alissa), and Clay (Mila).
He was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren: Shannon (Mitchell) , Cheyanne, Tara, Shayna, Damon, Brendan, Ryan (Sara), Katie, Ariel, Cylus, Caleb, Carsen, Layne, Nicholas and Michael, and a cherished great-grandfather to Mitchell, Adelyn, Thomas, Caisyn, and Westyn. Curtis will also be deeply missed by his surviving siblings, Larry (Karmen) Wilson, Dwain (Connie) Wilson, Kevin (Janette) Wilson, and Robin Wilson.
