Obituary

Dale Roger Olson, passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 88. He was born on February 19, 1938, in Birch Creek Township, Minnesota, to Robert Olson and Jennie Rautio. Dale grew up in Birch Creek Township, attending Church Hill School and later Willow River High School, from which he graduated in 1950.

Following his high school education, Dale worked at Wood Conversion in Cloquet before being drafted into the United States Army on September 15, 1961. He honorably served his country for two years, followed by an additional two and a half years in the Reserves, before being discharged on September 14, 1967, with the rank of Private (E-1).

Dale's career spanned various sectors, including construction work for Axel Ohman in the Twin Cities and Acon Construction Company. He also owned and operated his own trucking business, hauling grain across the Dakotas. For 15 years, he dedicated his hard work and talents to Kepler Construction before retiring in 2006.

Dale is survived by his brother, Larry Olson and sister Doris Pettis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jennie Olson, as well as his siblings: Lorraine Wirtanen, Jeanette Simmons, Donald Olson, Jim Olson, Elwood Olson, and Ted Olson.
