Damian Francis Bennett was born on July 8, 2019 to Chris and Rachel Bennett in Duluth.  He was welcomed into the world and loved by his five siblings: Emmaline, Eleanor, Anna, Alan, and Anthony.  Damian will be lovingly remembered by his maternal grandparents: Tim & Micki Malone; paternal grandparents: Greg & Jan Bennett; great grandpa: Rene Svenstad; great grandma: Elaine Malone; aunts and uncles: Kylie & Matthew Prachar; Mike Bennett; Brandon & Bekah Swanson; Jake Malone; and Libby Malone; and numerous cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.

Damian entered eternal life on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his home.

Although Damian was with us a short time, he left an incredible imprint on our hearts.  The family read stories to him, the kids sang songs, and everyone filled his life with love.

The family is forever thankful for all the support of family and friends and recognize the many sacrifices everyone made to help out the family at this time so they could pour all the love possible into 4 weeks of Damian's precious life.  They sincerely want to thank all of the NICU nurse's at Essentia-St. Mary's for their incredible care and compassion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11 am in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake.  A Rosary Service will take place at 10:30 am at the church.  Burial will follow at St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery, Sturgeon Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the scholarship being set up in memory of Damian for students wishing to attend Queen of Peace School in Cloquet.
