Daniel P. Jensen

Daniel P. Jensen, 57, Sturgeon Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He gave the gift of life through organ/tissue donation after his death.

Dan was born on February 19, 1952 in Duluth to Stanley Jensen and Alice (Jensen) Paulus. He grew up in Cloquet and later moved to Moose Lake where he graduated from Moose Lake High School. Dan attended college in Duluth. On June 7, 1975, Dan married Linda Summers in Duluth. They moved to Sturgeon Lake. Dan was a fabricating welder and worked for Clyde Iron and Reach All in Duluth for several years and was currently employed by Aspen in Duluth. He loved his work and considered the guys he worked with as his second family. Dan loved spending time with his wife, Linda and socializing with his family and friends. He also loved fishing, camping, golfing, 4 wheeling, traveling, snowmobiling, sports, water skiing, and his dogs: Sadie and Sophie.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Jensen and Alice (Jensen) Paulus and his Uncle Glenn Jensen.

Dan will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 34 years: Linda; four children: Ricky (Deb) Jensen of Florida; Danny (Alexis) Jensen of Sturgeon Lake; Lisa (Dan) Delaet of Alaska; and Melissa Jensen of Cloquet; three grandchildren: Xander, Megan, and Morgan; brother: Warren (Diane) Jensen of South Carolina; sister: Karen (Bob) Billings of White Bear Lake; and his extended family: Brian Collins and Justin Collins whom Dan was very close to through the years.

A memorial visitation was held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 5-7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continued at 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service on Friday, July 10, 2009 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.
