Darlene Joyce Frehse, 68, of Finlayson, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her home. She was born November 15, 1940 in Pine Lake Township to Nels and Irene (Schlapkohl) Efram. Darlene was united in marriage to Wilton Frehse on August 23, 1958 in Finlayson. Darlene resided in the McGrath and Finlayson areas most of her life. She was an officer and clerk for the village of McGrath as well a first responder and liquor store clerk. Darlene was also employed with Fingerhut, the DNR and Grand Casino/Hinckley. She enjoyed reading and especially spending time with family and friends.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilton and an infant son.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Nolan of McGrath; son, Mark (Chriss) Frehse of McGrath; 2 brothers, Roger (Terrea) Efram of Coon Rapids and Kevin (Noretta) Efram of Ramsey; grandchildren, Travis, Joshua, Derek, Garret, Cody, Trever, Tasha, Emily and Molly Nolan; great grandchildren, Aiden, Bridget and Adam Nolan and Alaya Murner; several nieces and nephews; good friend, Marge.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 23, from Noon until the 1 PM service in Zion Lutheran Church, McGrath with Pastor Jim Sodergren officiating.
