Darlene Clara Pionk, 67, of Moose Lake, died Monday, November 9, 2009 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. She was born August 3, 1942 in Rich Valley. Darlene was united in marriage to Ernest Pionk on June 27, 1959 in Barnum. She worked for 20 years at various places as a waitress and 10 years as a senior companion at Mercy Health Care. Darlene enjoyed crafts, reading and playing cards. She brightened up the room with her laugh and smile wherever she went and was full of energy.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin, Billy and Stanley; sisters, Virginia and MaryAnn.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Ernest of Moose Lake; son, Dale (Laura) Pionk of Eveleth; grandchildren, Holly Fowler of Virginia and Leeanna Fowler of Virginia; great grandchildren, Tristian, Trevor and Tiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
