David Charles Orn

David Charles Orn, 60, Mahtowa, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1953 in Hennepin County to Charles and Dorothy Orn. David graduated from Mound Westonka High School in 1971. He lived in St. Bonifacious, MN where he was Mayor for two terms and also worked as an inspector for the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. David moved to Mahtowa in 2002 and began working as a LTSO at TSA in the Duluth Airport and was President of the AFGE Union. On August 20, 2013, David married Ina Olson. David enjoyed history, politics, watching sports, golf, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Dorothy Orn and a brother: Randy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ina; son: Matthew Orn of Minnetonka; two step-daughters: Kelsey Stephenson of Wrenshall and Mindie Marczak of Carlton; step granddaughter: Norah Stephenson; brother: Mike (Lori) Orn of Barnum; step-dad: Vince Meuwissen of Chaska; and two nieces: Stephanie Golden of Cloquet and Jennifer Orn of Cloquet.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1:30 PM until the 2:30 PM Memorial Service on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Mahtowa Covenant Church, 2732 – 2nd St., Mahtowa.
