DeAnna Jean Stover, 82, Moose Lake, devoted Jehovah Witness, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend made her journey to Paradise on October 3, 2022, at her home with cherished loved ones by her side.

The eldest of ten, DeAnna was born January 23, 1940 to Kenneth and Ann (Fairbanks) Bowers. After graduating high school, DeAnna was briefly married and had two sons, Billy and James Mayo. She then met a charming firefighter, Herman "Smoky" Stover and was united in marriage October 6, 1962, raising two children, Angi and Danny Stover. They enjoyed life gardening and farming and were happily married until Smoky's death in 2016.

Her career brought her many places, including Nopeming nursing home, Moose Lake state hospital, St. Luke's hospital, Carlton nursing home and Mash-Ka-Wisen treatment center.

DeAnna led her life by example and faith until her final breath was taken. She began her Bible study in 1964, becoming baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She carried her faith in her heart always. She was a soft spoken, caring woman who was always welcoming with open arms, a beautiful smile and twinkling eyes. Her gentle demeanor and quick-witted humor made people comfortable and at ease, no matter the situation.

DeAnna loved her family, her friends and her brothers and sisters in fellowship. Her favorite color was red. She loved flower gardens, studying the Bible and going on impromptu road trips. She cherished her children and loved her grandchildren more than anything. When DeAnna spoke of her grandchildren, she would radiate with love and pride.
