Delbert Lee Cunningham, 82, lifelong resident of Sturgeon Lake, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born in Torrance, California on July 2, 1942 to John and Dorothy Cunningham. Shortly thereafter, they returned to Sturgeon Lake where Delbert attended C School in Windemere Township and worked for his father at the Sturgeon Lake Sawmill for many years.

Delbert loved spending time in the outdoors with his Grandpa Jack, chopping and hauling wood, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed family gatherings, road trips with his parents and winters in Arizona.

After his parents passed away Delbert lived for several years with his sister and her family. He especially liked his young nephews and all their activities, time spent in Colorado with his brother, family pets and weekends at the cabin.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents and his sister in law, Julie Cunningham. He is survived by his brother, Alan Cunningham and sister, Corinne (Mike) Youso and 7 nephews, Marc, Brent, Greg, Ryan, Adam, Jack and Sam.
