Delores "Dorie" Youngberg

Delores "Dorie" Youngberg, 71, Willow River, died peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2012 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. She was born in Moose Lake to Andrew and Rose Kwapick on September 15, 1940. Dorie graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1959. On October 22, 1960, Dorie married Lee Youngberg in Faith Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Lake. While in the Twin Cities, Dorie worked for Waldorf, Ford, and American Linen. She later moved to rural Willow River and worked at the sawmills west of Willow River; Willow River Egg Farm, Luoma Egg Ranch, Annie's Bar, Mikey's Bar, Squirrel Cage, Willow River School, and R-3 Baits in Moose Lake. She loved bingo, playing cards and marbles, word books, going to the casino, fishing, and especially spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Lee in 1969; parents: Andrew and Rose Kwapick; sisters: Rose Klejeski, Gertie Tomczak, Lorraine Westerberg, and Regina Kuhlman; and brothers: Raymond Kwapick, Clemence Kwapick, and Clifford Kwapick.

Dorie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Karen Youngberg of Willow River; and two sons: Kevin (Stephanie) Youngberg of Sturgeon Lake and Gary Youngberg of Roseville; grandchildren: Katie Youngberg; Andrea Youngberg; Drew Smith, and Bonnie Perrine; brothers: Florian Kwapick of Roseville; Franklin Kwapick of Willow River; and Stanley (Barb) Kwapick of Willow River; sisters-in-law: Marcella Kwapick of Circle Pines and Norma (Leonard) Kiminski of Willow River; Godchildren: Bobby Siltanen, Brian Postal, and Debbie Eaton; over 200 nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, July 26 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue from 1 PM until the 2 PM service on Friday, July 27 in Faith Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Lake. Burial will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Birch Creek Twp.
