Dennis John Schubert

Dennis John Schubert, 74, Kerrick, died Sunday, July 29, 2018 in Essentia- St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.  He was born on January 3, 1944 in Minneapolis to John and Lorraine Schubert.  He grew up in Osseo where he graduated from Osseo High School in 1962.  On January 26, 1963, Dennis married Judith Olesen in Osseo.  They lived in Elk River through the years while Dennis worked as a truck driver for Roadway and was a loyal Teamster.  In 2000, Dennis and Judith moved to Kerrick to enjoy their retirement.  They loved their trips to the casino and spoiling their cats Millie and Minnie.  Dennis was extremely outgoing and social, loved the Vikings and Twins, deer hunting, and reading Western's.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith in 2016; and his parents: John and Lorraine Schubert.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Cheryl Nelson of Elk River; Catherine Schultz of Forest Lake; and John Schubert of Tomah, WI; grandchildren: Jacob Nelson, Jessica Selbitschka, Kyle Nelson, Luke Nelson, Charles Schultz, and Shawn Schubert; great grandchildren: Brett, Isabel, Brooke, Morgan, Riley, Amelia, and Madelyn; sister: Beverly (Alan) Mahlke of Brooklyn Park; niece: Laura (Tyler) Knutson of Champlin; and brother-in-law: Jerome (Barb) Olesen of Elk River.

Visitation will be from 11 am until the noon service on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Oak Lake Lutheran, Kerrick.  Following the lunch after the service, inurnment will take place in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Askov.
