Dolores Mae Dahlen, 81, of Sturgeon Lake, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. She was born July 4, 1929 in Finlayson to Stuart and Ailee (Kinninun) MacDonald. Dolores was united in marriage to Ervin Dahlen on July 29, 1949 in Nickerson. Dolores was an active member of Oak Lake Lutheran Church of Kerrick and loved to read her bible. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching birds and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Ervin Dahlen of Sturgeon Lake; 6 children, Gary (Cynthia) Dahlen of Sturgeon Lake, Joanne (Richard) Searl of Litchfield, James Dahlen of Sandstone, Sandra (Robert) Ebert of Roseville, Ralph (Noelle) Dahlen of White Bear Lake and Linda (Bo) Arbogast of Oberlin, OH; grandchildren, Angelia, Shawn, Justin, David, Lindsey, Jolene, Nickolas, Cole, Iris, Eli and Greta; great grandchildren, Brandy, Brittany, Jared, Haleigh, Autumn and Landon; 2 sisters, Mildred Stover and Maryanne Turner; brother, Orien MacDonald; many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends was held on Tuesday, May 24, from 5 – 7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continued Wednesday, May 25, from 10 Am until the 11 AM Memorial Service in Oak Lake Lutheran Church, Kerrick.
