Donald A Thieling, 66, of Cloquet, died Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. Don was born on December 13, 1954 in Moose Lake, the son of Fred and Verna (Albertson) Thieling.
In his younger years, Don enjoyed riding motorcycle, smelt fishing, cookouts, bowling, hunting, shoveling snow, driving car in the demolition derby, and playing softball with the "Green Machine", his family team.
Don gave everything he had to others, he loved well and his generosity will be cherished by his family.
Don had many careers over the years, however, his years spent logging brought him immense joy.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Verna; sister, Dorothy Thieling; brothers-in-law, Rob Langhorst, Mike Adelsgruber, and Bill Schluessell; great nephew, Spencer Barber; best friend and cousin, Rick Peterson, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his siblings, Philip Thieling, Phyllis Schluessell, Roger (Deb) Thieling, Nancy Youngberg, Janet Adelsgruber, Shirley Thieling, Gary (Diane) Thieling and Linda Freitag; aunt, Ardine Reiss; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, as well his special friend, Carol Maki.
Visitation: 11:00 AM until the Memorial Service, held by Donald's Family, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Barnum United Methodist Church at 12:00 PM. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall.
