Donna Mae Lampel, 73, of Moose Lake, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake.
She was born April 17, 1936 in Moose Lake to Emil and Manda (Haikola) Leino. Donna graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1954. She worked for Dr. Sach-Rowitz in Moose Lake for many years as well as Mercy Hospital until her retirement. Ray and Donna enjoyed years of traveling in their 5th wheel until settling at Donna's home place on Leino Road in Moose Lake. She enjoyed cross country skiing, walking outside, teaching her family Finish and spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Robert.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Ray Lampel of Moose Lake; 2 daughters, Becky (George) Holt of Kettle River and Brenda (Peter) Weske of Kingston, Idaho; 2 sons, Jon (Kelly) Lampel of Kettle River and Tim Lampel of Kettle River; grandchildren, Cindy (Kelley), Amanda (John), Emily (Ric), Adam, Erik, Ben, Donna, Cody, Lily, Sophia, Garrett (Aaron), Kady, Dylan, Megan and Wyatt; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild due next Spring; twin brother, Donald Leino of Moose Lake; sister, Gen (Ernie) Peters of Moose Lake; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends was Wednesday, December 2, from 5-7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Thursday, December 3, from Noon until the 1PM Memorial Service in St. Peters Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.
