Doris Anderson, 91, of Moose Lake, formerly of Kerrick Township, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born February 4, 1917 in Windemere Township to Arthur and Clara (Dahlen) Mossberg. Doris attended school at Windemere Township, Willow River and Moose Lake. Doris was united in marriage to Roy Anderson on November 28, 1936 in Windemere Township. Doris and Roy lived in Kerrick Township where they farmed. Doris wrote as a correspondent for local newspapers for many years including the Windemere Township News. In 1999, Doris moved to Moose Lake. She was a member of Oak Lake Lutheran Church & LCW. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing. Doris loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; 4 brothers, Alan, Arthur, Joel and Russell.

Doris is survived by 4 sons, Norman (Karen) Anderson of Oakdale, Leland (Pat) Anderson of Pine City, Mervin (Mary) Anderson of Joice, IA and Marlin (Julie) Anderson of Ogilvie; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Oak Lake Lutheran Church, Kerrick Township with Pastor Nathan Anderson officiating.
