Doris Lois Richards, 81, of Mahtowa, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home.  She was born September 6, 1935 in Rougemont, NC to Hampton and Zella (Ellis) Duke.  Doris was united in marriage to Glen Richards on November 24, 1956 in Chesterfield, NC.  Doris and Glen farmed for many years.  She loved her dogs and cats and was an excellent cook.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Hage; grandson, Diesel Horton; brother, Bruce Duke.

Doris is survived by her husband, Glen; children, Debi (Edward) Madison, Glenice (Florian) Tomczak and James Richards; grandchildren, Jenifer (Adam) Cook, Oscar (Tina) Horton, Olivia (Kyle) Ziebarth, Ryan Madison, Chelsea Madison, Josh (Sena) Hage, Abby (Matthew) Giersdorf, Vegas Peterson, Trenton Richards and Nikki Richards; great grandchildren, Harmony, Holly, Natalie, Lucas, Hailey, Hunter, Melanie, Macie, Isaac, Trinity, Rylee, Brenda, Brodie, Gavin, Jesse, Chloe, Kiara, Leah and Evelyn.
