Dorothy C. Nelson, 93, Bruno, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Augustana Health Care Center, Moose Lake.  She was born on January 22, 1925 in Willmar, MN to Emil and Minnie Lindskoog.  Dorothy lived in Taylors Falls where she graduated from high school and later resided and worked in the Twin Cities.  On April 2, 1948, Dorothy was married to Gordon Nelson in the home of his sister Ruth in Seattle, WA.  They lived in Seattle until 1956 when they moved to New Brighton, MN.  They later moved to Glen Flora, WI where Gordon accepted his first full time position as Pastor.  Their ministry took them to Stanchfield, MN, Homewood, IL,  New Hope, MN, and lastly Bruno, MN where they ministered at Memorial Drive Bible Fellowship in Askov.  Dorothy was particularly gifted in hospitality, and played the piano, and was an invaluable partner with Gordon in ministry. She was a prayer warrior and spent hours praying for the needs of others.  Dorothy loved crafting, making cards, and was well known for her decorating for the seasons and other special occasions.  She loved table games and was a formidable opponent.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon in 2007; brother: Howard; and sister: Kathryn.

She will be lovingly remembered by her 4 children: David (Wendy) of Bruno; Gregg (Teri) of Bruno; Gary (Claire) of Bruno; and Becky of St. Paul; 11 grandchildren: Brian, Brenda, Jason, Monica, Timothy, Melachi, Gage, Matthew, Veronica, Jared, and Briana; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 3 siblings: Joyce Christie of St. Paul, MN; John Lindskoog of Orange, CA; and Carol Marsh of Mission Viejo, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:30 until the 3:30 PM service on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in Memorial Drive Bible Fellowship Church, Askov.  Pastor Gary Nelson will officiate.  Music will be provided by Tim Nelson, Joanna Schutt, and Dave Nelson.   Cremation will follow services with private family inurnment held at a later date in Bruno Cemetery.
