Obituary

Dorothy Evelyn Fjosne, 91, Moose Lake, passed away on June 26, 2018 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake with her family by her side.  She was born on January 13, 1927 in Moose Lake.  She grew up in the Sturgeon Lake area and attended school in Willow River.  As a teen, Dorothy worked for Dix Cafe.  On November 23, 1946, Dorothy married Wallace Fjosne in Sturgeon Lake.  Dorothy worked several years at Moose Lake Co-op and Red Owl grocery store.  She also worked at General Andrews Nursery.  Dorothy was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church in Moose Lake, serving on the Altar Guild and making quilts with the Busy Bees.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her many hobbies include: sewing, baking, knitting, watching Twin's baseball, traveling to Branson, going to auctions and rummage sales, and many camping and fishing trips.  Dorothy loved volunteering at the Sonshine Closet and continued to sort items during her stay at Augustana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace in 2005; brother: Robert Sangrene; and her mother: Alice Sangrene.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Cheryl (Steve) Winchester of Moose Lake; Monte (Pat) Fjosne of Bemidji; and LuAnn (David) Runkle of Wayzata; 4 grandchildren: Jill (Ryan) Harden of Carlton; Kristi (Kyle) Chamberlain of Colorado Springs, CO; Jeff Fjosne of Perham; Jennifer (Troy) Rodvold of Sammamish, WA; 7 great grandchildren: Michael Harden, Greta Harden, Wesley Harden, Haven Fjosne, Marshall Fjosne, Dylan Chamberlain, and Drew Chamberlain; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A special thanks to her niece, Ellen Redenbaugh, who watched over her and visited Dorothy almost daily.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am service on Monday, July 2, 2018 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.  Burial will be in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Twp.
