Dorothy Faye Mikrot

Dorothy Faye Mikrot, 91, Sturgeon Lake, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Oakview Assisted Living, Moose Lake.  She was born on August 23, 1926 to George and Ruth Lingle in Beaver Twp. where she grew up and attended the Ronald School.  Dorothy later attended high school in McGregor.  On October 20, 1945, Dorothy married Henry Mikrot in Sturgeon Lake.  They lived in Birch Creek Twp. where they farmed, and she was an excellent homemaker through years.  Dorothy was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church and its CCW.  She loved gardening, flowers, cooking, crafting and most of all spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; 4 brothers: James Lingle, Earl Lingle, Carl Lingle, and George Lingle; 4 sisters: Grace Strum, Clara Dotseth, Helen Oman, and Ruth Swanson.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her 5 children: Sharon (Mickey) Fleek of Albert Lea; Louise (Richard) Joseph of Minneapolis; David (Debra) Mikrot of Kettle River; Ann (Ron) Mlaskoch of Willow River; and Daniel (Robin Morgenstern) Mikrot of Rutledge; 11 grandchildren: Allison Nogosek, Dawn Fleek, Derek Fleek, Mark Joseph, Nick Joseph, Tony Joseph, Christina Avery, Lori Gscheidmeier, Mike Mikrot, Dusty Mlaskoch, and Bobbi Jo Dresel; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 7-9 pm Sunday, May 6, 2018 with a Rosary Service at 8:30 pm in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am Monday, May 7, 2018 in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
