Douglas Carl Linge passed away from complications and results of pneumonia at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN on July 5th. His wife and children were blessed with the opportunity to spend the final days with him and were able to interact and ready him for his departure from this earth and into the arms of our Father in heaven.

On March 24,1982 Doug was united in marriage to Tina Spicer in Anadarko, OK. The couple had relocated to Tina's home state and Askov for the beginning of their life's journey together. Tina entering the marriage with a child of her own, a son Justin, who Doug would later adopt. A ready-made family was had. IN 1987 their first child together was born, a son Dylan in January. By winter of that year the family relocated to Askov, MN to reside in the area from then on. In 1991 they welcomed their second child together, another son Jacob.
Doug was a man of many talents. Throughout his working years he worked in the Construction field as a laborer & heavy equipment operator. He also worked in the oil field during his time in Oklahoma, becoming adept "roughneck" who enjoyed his days and nights of being on an oil rig. He also worked as a logger and a small engine repairman in at various times throughout his life. He was a hard-working dedicated man. In 1999 his working life was abruptly ended due to an accident on a job site that wrecked his back & set him on a totally different path then what he had expected. From that point on he was labeled "disabled" it was the hardest thing for him to come to terms with. But Doug was tough and persisted on with the help of his family and friends.
Doug struggled greatly in the past decade of his life with constant pain and the torment of other issues as well. So many doctors and such little relief. He focused so hard on remaining active and social throughout, hating to be confined to the house. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and bonding with his children & grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need and was considered a good friend to many. He was proud to see all of his children complete their schooling and turn out to be smart and capable grownups. Two entering the military & serving their country. He was equally proud to be grandpa to 8 beautiful grandchildren. Praise God and all his Glory.
