Obituary

Earl Milo "Chuck" Chase, 86, of Moose Lake, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. He was born January 30, 1924 in Columbia Heights to Gilbert and Olga (Carlson) Chase. Chuck was employed with Pillsbury Flour Mills. He was united in marriage to Eleanor H. McCandless on July 14, 1944 in Minneapolis. Chuck was a Navy Veteran who served in WWII. After the war, Chuck and Eleanor moved to California where he worked as a superintendant for a home construction company until he retired. They moved to Barnum in 1989 and then to Moose Lake. Chuck was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Moose Lake. He was also a member of California State Grange and Odd Fellows. Chuck sang with Autumn Voices and volunteered at Mercy Health Care Center, helping with sing a longs and memorial services. Chuck loved to fish.

Chuck is preceded in death by 1 son, Chris; his parents; 2 brothers, Howard and Ray; 2 sisters, Edna and Ruth.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor of Moose Lake; 2 children, Steven (Karin) Chase of Cupertino, CA and John "Jack" (Lynda) Chase of San Jose, CA; many nieces and nephews.
