Edith Kopf

Edith Kopf, 93, Willow River, died peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2014 in her home. She was born on December 16, 1920 in Willow River to Joseph and Anna Lehecka. Edith attended school in Willow River graduating in 1939 and was very much looking forward to riding in the Willow River Days Parade in 2014 for her 75th anniversary of her graduation. She worked at the Willow River Mercantile for over 27 years and was also a caregiver to many people through the years. Edith married Frank Kopf, Jr. on December 7, 1967. She was a very unique person whom was one of a kind. Edith had a very special love for the many cats she cared for through the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 1997 and two sisters: Lily Grasmoen and Helen Prachar.

Edith will be remembered by her nephew: Bucky Grasmoen of San Jose, CA; 7 great nieces and nephews: Marie, Mark, Marty, Michael, Pam, Patti, and Scott; and many great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 PM until the 3 PM service Friday, January 10, 2014 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Chaplain Todd Carlson will officiate. May Prachar will provide the music. Casket Bearers will be Marie Ojala, Mark Prachar, Marty Prachar, Michael Prachar, Joe Prachar, Scott Prachar, Steve Andrews, and Bucky Grasmoen. Burial will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery, Willow River.
