Obituary

Edna Meretta (Peirce) Damrose, 92, of Birch Creek Township, passed away December 24, 2010 in Oakview Assisted Living, Moose Lake. She was born December 22, 1918 in St. Paul to Charles Harrison and Opal Meretta (Woodman) Peirce. Edna accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior on October 28, 1950 and received forgiveness of sins and the gift of Eternal Life.
Edna attended elementary school and high school in St. Paul where she graduated from Central High in 1936. She then worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 20 years as a Telephone Operator.
Edna was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Morey Damrose of the Maplewood area on July 17, 1948 in St. Paul. They moved to the New Brighton area in 1957 and resided there for over 30 years. After Bob retired they moved to Birch Creek Township in Pine County.
Edna was a housewife who enjoyed their various homes. She loved to cook and bake. Edna was a member of the Part Time Homemakers in her neighborhood for several years.
Robert and Edna attended Rutledge Community Church where they were very active members and Edna served as church organist.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; sister, Ada Frances Adams; brother-in-law, Richard Damrose.

Edna is survived by her nephews, Wayne (Theresa) Adams of Circle Pines, David (Donna) Adams of Houston, TX, Mark (Julie) Damrose of Streamwood, IL; nieces, Evelyn Damrose of New York, Kathleen (Richard) Howard of Virginia, Victoria (William) Watson of New Jersey, Barbara (Steven) Wood of Illinois, Rebecca Damrose of Illinois, Laura (Gregory) Moore of Pennsylvania; great nieces, Stephanie Adams, Katherine Adams, Breona Gonzalez, Sarah Moore and Lynelle (Nathan) Overturf; great nephews, Dane Adams, Christopher Damrose, Nathan Damrose, Michael Damrose, Peter Moore, Andrew Moore, Philip Moore, Nathanael Moore, Steven Howard, Lisa Howard and Kim Howard; brother-in-law, Albert A. (Gladys) Damrose of Rockford, IL; sister-in-law, Karin Damrose of Springfield, VA.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Rutledge Community Church, Rutledge. Spring Interment will be in Nordland Cemetery, Birch Creek Township.
