Edna Mae Illikainen, 84, of Barnum, died June 27, 2011 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. She was born August 15, 1926 in Barnum to Willard and Margaret (McDermott) Fall. Edna grew up and attended school in Blackhoof Township. Edna was employed at Diamond Match, Jenos, Jim's Hamburger, Carlton Nursing Home, Swansons Café and Our Place of Kettle River. She was a member of Apostolic Lutheran Church of Kettle River as well as Women of the Moose Lodge #479 of Moose Lake. Edna was very loved by her family and friends and was always there to help them. She loved playing cards and bingo. Edna's best friend was her bird, Chipper.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; son, William Illikainen and an infant son; granddaughter, Bonnie Jo Skoglund; 4 sisters; 8 brothers.
Edna is survived by 2 daughters, Joanne (Jack) Skoglund of Barnum and Carol Kiehn of Clear Lake; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 30, from 1 PM until the 2 PM service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake with Pastor Don Bisila officiating.
