Edward Ernest Cegla, 82, of Moose Lake, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. Edward was born April 6, 1934 in Denham to Tony and Lillian (Zedyt) Cegla. Edward attended Denham School and later Willow River High School. He moved to St. Paul in 1953 where he worked for Ford Motor Company for 16 years. Edward then worked construction until he retired in 1996 and moved to Moose Lake. In his later years, Edward worked at the Sonshine Closet in Moose Lake for 11 ½ years. Edward was a collector of clocks for many years.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents; son, Steve Cegla; daughter, Roxzene Olson; brother, Bernard Cegla; sister, Martha Cegla.
Edward is survived by his siblings, Carol Priem of Mesa, AZ, Jean (Bernard) La Chance of Minneapolis, Ernest Cegla of Harris, Arlene Grescyk of Moose Lake, Leonard Cegla of Moose Lake, Marge Pietrzak of Crystal and Frances Kozlowski of West Allis, WI; sister-in-law, Mabel Cegla of Moose Lake; special friends, Laurie and Michelle; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, from 1 PM until the 2 PM Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Interment will be in St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery, Sturgeon Lake.
