Edward "Edd"
Clonkey
July 14, 1946 – August 11, 2019
Edward "Edd" Clonkey, 73, Moose Lake, fought a hard and brave battle with cancer. As of Sunday, August 11, 2019, Edd is peacefully waiting for resurrection morning.
He was born in St. Paul to Nathan and Bonnie Clonkey. Edd grew up in St. Paul and attended Central High School. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Okinawa as a generator mechanic. After the service, Edd attended Dunwoody for the automotive technician program. On July 18, 1970, Edd married Eilene Bonderson in Bigfork, MN. They lived in St. Paul and Edd worked as an automotive technician. In 1971, Edd became a Dad to Brian and in 1975 he become a Dad to Kara. In the late 90's, Edd and Eilene moved to the country in rural Moose Lake. Edd had a passion for reading, gardening, helping people, and working in his wood shop building birdhouses and other projects. He truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the country. Edd was a Deacon at Seventh Day Adventist Church and loved being involved with Bible Study. He loved the verse, John 14:6, "Jesus, saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
