Edward C. Johnson, 91, of Barnum, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. He was born March 26, 1922 in Barnum to Carl and Edna (Simpson) Johnson. Edward was united in marriage to Ruth Johnson on June 8, 1949 in Moose Lake. Edward farmed on the family farm and also worked at the Moose Lake Feed Store. Edward was also the Head Custodian at Barnum Schools as well as a bus driver. He enjoyed woodworking and was a pet lover. Edward especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Edward was a member of Barnum Community United Methodist Church.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ethel Johnson.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth Johnson of Barnum; 2 daughters, Susan (Jerry) DaPra of Wrenshall and Sharon (Mark) Riemer of Owatonna; 1 son, Edward (Janet Ramsey) Johnson of Barnum; grandchildren, Edward (Eileen) DaPra, Lynet (Roger Schrader) DaPra, Vicki (Jerrett) Howe and Kathy (Alex) Kurland; great grandchildren, Skyla, Kylan and Layna DaPra; nephews, Duane, Darrell, David and Daniel Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Janet Johnson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Barnum Community United Methodist Church, Barnum. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Barnum.
